The Benefits of Classical Acupuncture

  • Care That Looks Beyond Symptoms

    Care That Looks Beyond Symptoms

Classical Acupuncture takes a whole-person approach to care. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, treatment considers underlying patterns that may contribute to pain, tension, or imbalance. This can support improved comfort, function, energy levels, and overall well-being.

  • Efficient and Focused Treatment

    Efficient and Focused Treatment

Classical Acupuncture is often delivered with fewer needles and fewer sessions compared to more generalized acupuncture approaches. Treatment is intentional and targeted, allowing care to be efficient while remaining thoughtful and individualized.

  • Supporting the Body’s Natural Healing Processes

Supporting the Body’s Natural Healing Processes

By working with the body’s internal systems, Classical Acupuncture aims to support circulation, reduce inflammation, and encourage tissue healing. Treatment can also help regulate stress responses and support recovery during periods of physical or emotional strain.

  • Revolution direct bills for many insurance providers listed here. For providers not listed, you would pay for the services at the clinic and submit your receipt. It usually takes 1-3 business days to be reimbursed from your insurance company.

  • Everyone's experience is different; some methods might cause a few seconds of discomfort, particularly in areas of increased tension. Talk to your therapist about what you’re feeling so they can adjust their technique accordingly.

  • While both focus on balance of blood flow and Qi:

Classical Acupuncture focuses on the connection between emotions and the body, working to balance the spirit and tackle the emotional causes of physical health issues.

Traditional Acupuncture (TCM) looks at how emotions affect the body by examining organ and meridian imbalances. Treatment aims to balance Qi and blood flow in these systems.

  • At this time, Acupuncture is not covered by MB Health.

  • Classical acupuncture is a very adaptive form of treatment. Your practitioner is in the room with you the entire time and will reassess using your radial (wrist) pulse.
