Alecs Barzaga
Athletic Therapy, Myofascial Cupping
Alecs played a variety of sports growing up, but her passion throughout highschool and university was taekwondo: in which she competed, coached, and instructed classes. She has always wanted to work in the healthcare field and share her other passion: the positive effects that movement and exercise have on people. Through one of her coaches, Alecs was introduced to athletic therapy and finally found the right career path.
Alecs experienced working with a variety of sports during her degree, including highschool football, highschool rugby, Men’s and Women’s Premier rugby leagues, MMSL soccer, and AAA hockey.
She is currently working at Revolution Rehab as an athletic therapist and is taking on new clients, including MPI and WCB claims. She works with a variety of clients, from competitive athletes, non-athletes, industrial workers, office workers, and anyone who has been in a workplace or car accident. You may also see her in the clinic throughout the week, as she is also working as Revolution’s Office Manager.
Outside the clinic, Alecs likes to cover a variety of sporting events/competitions as an athletic therapist and also volunteers for a local Filipino production team, Pinoy Tribe Entertainment. At home, she takes care of her many houseplants.
Likes: Going for long walks, adventures, reading (non-fiction, fiction, and mangas), plants, coffee, baking, cooking, trying new things, and listening to people talk about the things they love.
Dislikes: worms and bugs.
